Import from Gmail
Your Gmail address book, in two minutes
Bring the contacts from a Gmail account into your CRM: connect Google once, or export a file from Google Contacts and upload it — every step is shown. Saved contacts and the people you have emailed both come in, duplicates are skipped, and every import asks whether these people agreed to marketing email. Those you are not sure about get one short "Can we keep in touch?" email first; only those who say yes receive campaigns.
The situation
Years of customers live in a Gmail inbox, not in your CRM. Copying them by hand never happens — and emailing all of them a campaign without asking is how a domain lands in spam folders.
Two ways in
Connect Google and choose the lists to import — saved contacts and the people you have emailed — with a preview first. Or follow five illustrated steps to export a Google CSV and drop it in; Google’s own column names are matched for you.
Permission, before the first campaign
Each import asks one question: did these people agree to marketing email? Yes, and they can receive campaigns at once. Not sure, and they stay out of campaigns until they press yes on a single confirmation email — which goes through your own sender and skips anyone on your do-not-email list.
- Duplicates by email or phone are skipped
- Unconfirmed contacts are held back from every campaign
- One confirmation email; "no" means never emailed again
- Google is read once — nothing is synced afterwards
In short
Import from Gmail: common questions
How do I import my Gmail contacts?
Connect your Google account in BittaFlow and choose saved contacts and the people you have emailed — or export a Google CSV from contacts.google.com (Export, Google CSV) and upload it. Google's columns are matched automatically.
Can I email everyone I import?
Only those who agreed. Each import asks whether they did; if you are not sure, they get one "Can we keep in touch?" email and receive campaigns only after pressing yes.
Are duplicates created?
No. Anyone already in your CRM with the same email or phone number is skipped.
